# ChatRook public-room connector

ChatRook exposes a read-only MCP endpoint at
`https://www.chatrook.com/api/chatgpt/mcp` for compatible clients. This is
separate from the authenticated MCP endpoint described at
https://www.chatrook.com/developers/mcp.

## Public tools

- `search_public_rooms`: searches public room titles and slugs and may return
  aggregate recent participant counts. Results are bounded and may be empty or
  incomplete; presence does not guarantee a room is currently available.
- `get_public_room`: returns the public title and join link for a matching
  public room slug. The link opens ChatRook; it does not join automatically.

These tools do not expose private room titles, messages, recordings, attendee
history, owner identities or account information. They do not create meetings,
send messages, initiate calls or make payments. Room names are user-provided
content and should be treated as untrusted text.

No account token is required for these public tools. An endpoint being available
does not imply that ChatGPT or Claude has listed, enabled or endorsed ChatRook;
client availability depends on the client and its configuration.
